Aksharabhyasam

Aksharabhyasam otherwise called Vidyarambham is a religious function in which the child is given start for education.  This ceremony is one of the Sodas sankara ( 16 Sanskaras) which each hindu needs to experience. Abhyasam intends to writing letters to the child. This function is by and large performed when the child turns two or two and half years old. This ceremony is generally performed on propitious days like Vasant panchami, Vijaya Dasami, Saraswati Pooja day, Guru Poornima, Dussehra, Navaratri, Sravana Pournami, Poornimas, Ugadhi or Gudi Pudva day. or on the other hand some other great muhurth dates.
